Loans and Donations

The Geelong Museum of Motoring + Industry relies on the generosity of people who donate vehicles, automobilia, documents, records and images to the collection.
We are carefully ensure the collection will continue to grow without duplicating items already held by the Museum and ensure we have the resources to preserve them.

The Museum also welcomes offers of loan from generous vehicle owners. Most loan agreements are for 3 or 12 month periods. We are always looking for additional material for the collection, however,
unfortunately we cannot always meet the offers due to space restrictions and display priorities. All offers of loan and donation are assessed by the Museum committee on a regular basis and we endeavour
to respond to your offer as quickly as possible.

The museum is a repository for significant artefacts and accepts donations as a key part of expanding its collection and making sure our history is preserved for future generations. If you are able
to donate significant artefacts, they would b be greatly appreciated. All donations are fully tax deductable.

if you have any questions. To help us with your offer please describe the object you would like to offer for loan or donation.

Provide as much information as you can and if possible please include a couple
of photographs. The sorts of things you may include are:

• Make and model (if a vehicle)
• Current condition
• Any relevant history relating to the individual vehicle or the class of model
• Any relevant history of a person connected to the object
• At least one photograph of the vehicle or object in its current condition
